Orlando, Fla., October 5, 2023 - PN Medical, a cardiopulmonary device manufacturer developing combined respiratory muscle training (cRMT) devices, today announced that it has initiated a study to evaluate its flagship device, The BREATHER®, in combination with the ProportionFit Battle Ready Health Kit to improve weight loss outcomes. The BREATHER® is designed to optimize the pulmonary system and improve cardiorespiratory function, which has been shown to support weight loss. The new weight loss program pairs regular respiratory training with ProportionFit’s weight and food intake planning system for a novel, well-rounded approach to weight loss.
The study investigates the effectiveness of a new weight loss program that combines healthy eating habits with regular exercise, The Breather, and the ProportionFit App. The primary goal of the study is to measure weight loss and other health measures throughout a two-month period, with online follow up surveys completed at 3-, 6-, and 12-months. The study will assess a total of 50 obese participants with a weight greater than 150 pounds, who have a desire to lose at least 30 pounds. Learn more about the study here.
